Matangi is the most centrally located of all Fiji’s northern island resorts to the exceptional scuba diving that Fiji is famous for. With our daily two-tank morning dive program, certified divers can explore the magical underwater world surrounding Matangi Island, allowing time in the afternoons to explore the island above water or relax and unwind.
Day dive trips to the more remote Somosomo Strait, the location of the world-famous Rainbow Reef and The Great White Wall, are possible, weather permitting, with a minimum of 4 divers. Due to the extra travel required, a fuel surcharge applies; however, the option to do a third dive is included free of charge.
Package Includes:
• Round-trip transfers from Taveuni Airport to the resort via boat and ground transport
• Welcome drink and daily housekeeping
• 7 nights accommodation in an Oceanview Bure or Treehouse Bure
• All meals included (breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks)
• Complimentary use of kayaks, paddleboards, and snorkel gear
• Access to resort amenities: beach loungers, spa, library, and Wi-Fi in common areas
• 5 days of 2-tank boat dives (10 dives total) on the Rainbow Reef
• Tanks, weights, belts, dive guide services, and boat transfers to dive sites
• Optional extras: additional dives, night dives, nitrox, gear rental, and PADI dive courses

Matangi Private Island Resort offers a boutique, adults-only experience with just a handful of Oceanview Bures, Treehouse Bures, and Beachfront Villas, each designed with comfort, privacy, and natural beauty in mind. The bures feature locally crafted furnishings, open-air lava rock showers, air conditioning, and stunning ocean views. Treehouse Bures add a romantic touch, perched in tropical foliage with elevated decks and soaking tubs.
The resort offers fine dining with fresh Fijian and international cuisine, an oceanfront spa, and curated island experiences like waterfall hikes and cultural visits. Diving is arranged through a trusted partner on nearby Taveuni, with easy transfers provided. Guests are taken by boat to premier sites like The Zoo, Jerry’s Jelly, and the Great White Wall for unforgettable underwater adventures.
