Every dive in Papua New Guinea is an exciting new experience, highlighted by encounters with dog tooth tuna, sharks, vast schools of pelagics such as barracuda, trevally and others. The waters of PNG are also home to prolific and diverse marine creatures and corals with over 350 recorded species of reef building corals and over 900 recorded species of fish.

With her home port at Walindi Plantation Resort, Star Dancer offers explorations of the wonders of Kimbe Bay, the magical Witu Islands and the pristine chain of Fathers Reefs at various times throughout the year. Star Dancer's itinerary changes seasonally to facilitate optimal diving experiences on the little visited South Coast of New Britain and Rabaul and surrounding areas. With many different itineraries, the M/V Star Dancer offers divers the opportunity to visit many times without ever repeating sites.

Their crews and reservations staff are the most professional and friendly in the industry.
Guests are greeted at the airport with a cool drink and moist towelette.
Dive deck services include hanging up your wetsuit and rinsing your dive gear, handling your valuable camera equipment with care.
Warm towels will be draped around your shoulders after your dive.
Hot chocolate (with or without alcohol) is passed around after each night dive.
Dives are prioritized for quality vs. quantity.
The diving crew will give detailed dive briefings, check currents and temperatures before the dives and be in the water on every dive.
The crew monitor the vessel round the clock with a 24-hour watch schedule.
The open bar includes locally available beer, wine and liquor.
Dinner is a fine dining experience with plated meals served to the table and a choice of entrees several nights per week.
